JEF is the Janome format, shared with Elna machines built on the same platform.

JEF runs on Janome and Elna. JEF stores thread colours, so the palette you see in the preview travels with the file.

PNG is what most logos are exported as. Transparent areas stay unstitched — the engine reads the alpha channel and leaves bare fabric where your artwork is empty, instead of filling a box around it.

Fabric sets stitch density, pull compensation and underlay. Knit draws in and needs a wider, looser stitch; terry swallows thread and needs a denser one.
