PEC is the older Brother format. If a PES file will not open on your machine, PEC usually will.

PEC runs on older Brother and Baby Lock machines. PEC stores thread colours, so the palette you see in the preview travels with the file.

PNG is what most logos are exported as. Transparent areas stay unstitched — the engine reads the alpha channel and leaves bare fabric where your artwork is empty, instead of filling a box around it.
